ComfortCare Homes® is a pioneer in personalized Alzheimer's and Dementia care. Nearly 20 years ago we were among the first to take dementia care out of the intuition and offer it in comfortable, professionally-staffed neighborhood residences. Medical facilities and nursing homes have their place. But even they are starting to recognize that the place for your loved one with Alzheimer's is a real home... a ComfortCare Home®.

The Stark family of Wichita, Kansas started this wonderful concept of non-threatening, personal care and protection in a true residential setting in 1993. Charles Stark was searching for long-term, 24-hour care and exploring options when he decided what he really wanted for his mother was something more personal. He wanted her to live as she always had - in a cozy, comfortable, residential home - where she could enjoy life to the best of her abilities. He wanted people around her who were loving and caring, who had the time, patience, and desire to know her.

Our approach is termed "residential care" because it is delivered in a true residential environment. Here in a small group setting with usually no more than six-to-eight Residents, our staff of trained, professional CareGivers devote their time to doing things WITH Residents rather than FOR them. With a higher certified staff-to-residents ratio than other care options, a ComfortCare home offers your loved one a combination of individual attention and professional expertise beyond what they could receive in an institution or even their own home.

You can find ComfortCare Homes® in beautiful neighborhoods in cities including Wichita, Baldwin City, Pittsburg - Kansas; Kansas City serving the Kansas and Missouri area; and Omaha, Nebraska.
