A Local Legacy of Care
About ComfortCare Homes
Wichita has been home to ComfortCare Homes for more than 30 years and is the organization’s flagship city. The Stark family, inspired by their experience caring for their grandparents at home, opened the first residence in 1993.
The Starks envisioned a new approach—one that offers a warm, home-like alternative to institutional nursing facilities. They began to see their intuitive understandings create meaningful impacts on lives outside of their own family. Before long, ComfortCare Homes acquired several more residential properties.
By designing and remodeling traditional houses, ComfortCare Homes creates intimate, supportive communities tailored to the unique needs of individuals living with dementia.
Remaining a family-owned business, the company is deeply committed to advancing compassionate and innovative dementia care.
