Like Home Because It Is Home

ComfortCare Homes are just that -- attractive, single-family ranch style residences sprinkled amid some of our city's most desirable neighborhoods. No signs. No stigma. Rather, with its manicured lawn, neatly trimmed walk, sundeck and tended garden, each ComfortCare home is truly “at home” in its surroundings. And inside, you’ll find our residents at home in theirs. Instead of an institutional setting with identical rooms lining long, impersonal hallways, our homes are designed with a tastefully appointed family room, spacious kitchen and dining area, and individual bedrooms filled with each resident’s own furnishings and mementos.

Just A Change Of Address

What is so unusual about life here is that nothing about it is unusual. The enticing smell of home cooking fills the air. The small "family" of residents and CareGivers cook a meal, share chores, or swap stories in the living room. Loved ones drop by for a visit and stay for lunch. A daughter takes her dad for a stroll up the street. One resident sits in her favorite chair and works on a quilt. Another takes in the sunshine in the security of the back yard.

These are not the "extras" you would give up by confining a loved one to an institution. These are the essentials for people suffering from a memory-loss disorder.
